Color mixing circles!

This was a fun project I did with 2nd and 3rd graders at the beginning of the school year.  We were reviewing our primary and secondary colors.  Students traced a variety of different sized lids and caps creating overlapping circles and colored the circles with cray-pas.  Wherever the circles overlapped students would have to mix their colors to create a new color.  They came up with some fun colors!!

The students could choose from black, white or gray paper.  The ones on black were more successful because they hid all the smudges and finger-prints.
